About The TomKat Studio

My story starts back in 2000, when after graduating from ASU with a Business Marketing degree, I left my ad agency position to embark on a new endeavor in real estate. For 8+ years, I worked full-time in real estate, running a brokerage and working with buyers and sellers. When the real estate market crashed in 2008, I made the decision to leave my career in real estate to spend more time at home with my children, Tommy and Kate. After starting to read a few blogs (blogging was a new thing then!), I decided on a whim to start my own. I called it "The TomKat Studio" and whipped up a quick logo. I started sharing everything creative I was doing and the blog quickly gained a loyal following. As I was sharing my own kids' parties and holiday celebrations, the demand for sharing my ideas and creating party products soared. I opened an Etsy shop, selling handmade party decor and then transitioning to digital designs.
