About
ince 1992 Keith Willig Landscape Architecture and Construction has designed and built residential landscapes for Bay Area clients from Hillsborough to Carmel. Principal Keith Willig believes as his clients do, that successful use of land surrounding a home extends the available space in which a family lives, plays and works. Willig creates landscapes that combine functionality, respect for the environment and distinct visual appeal. Keith Willig’s firm is one of the few dedicated to residential projects, licensed in both landscape architecture and construction. Most clients select the firm for both design and build services. Keith Willig brings the value of combined design and construction expertise to each project. Keith Willig Landscape Architecture and Construction installs most of the landscapes it designs, creating spaces with distinct aesthetic appeal that meet the functional needs of each client.
Principal Keith Willig leads his team with an appreciation for contemporary design and respect for the environment. Clients serve as a continuous source of referrals, pointing to Willig’s outstanding design sense, high standard of quality and excellent working rapport with clients and his construction crew. As a licensed landscape architect, Willig follows a proven professional process that includes research, design development, preliminary design and construction drawings. As a licensed landscape contractor, he ensures the integrity of the design through personal selection of materials and site supervision of each project.
For his youngest clients, Willig creates play spaces that integrate design objectives with elements to encourage and fulfill the brightest imaginations. They utilize reclaimed wood, windows, doors and hardware for extra effect and a ‘greener’ Play house. Tree houses, for instance, are custom designed to fit in between, beneath or around existing trees. A Keith Willig tree house might be one level for the smallest adventurers, or two stories with a flat roof to give older climbers a high perch. Step onto the tree house patio and hop a ride down the zip line to escape a pirate attack. You might walk through a willow tunnel and find yourself in a secret garden or facing an outcropping of climbing boulders. See some of Willig’s latest PlayGround creations.
