Nate and Jeremiah's Zodiac Signs Are *Not* What You'd Expect

They’re proof that opposites really do attract.

For every playful Leo, there’s an excited Gemini ready to go on an adventure together. For every loving Cancer, there’s a sensitive Pisces waiting to form an emotional bond. We love a zodiac-approved couple, but surprisingly enough, when two of our favorite HGTV stars aligned — Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent, hosts of HGTV’s The Nate and Jeremiah Home Project — their star *signs* didn't.

Nate is a triple Virgo — which means his star sign, rising sign and moon sign are all Virgo. (He's addicted to cleaning, we've heard.) Jeremiah, on the other hand, is a Sagittarius.

“We just had this conversation because we were teaching the kids about zodiac signs and technically ours are not compatible,” said Nate in a recent interview with HGTV. “They actually couldn’t be further from what your love match is supposed to be,” said Jeremiah, who pointed out their differences is actually what makes them so great together.

“We push each other in various ways ... basically he pushes our family in one way and then I stress out about the laundry. So that’s what goes on in our house,” said Nate.

“He stresses out about everything,” added Jeremiah.

Nate and Jeremiah ran in the same circle for three years before their mutual friend, Rachel Zoe, suggested they’d be the perfect match for each other. After their first date antique shopping around New York City, both knew it was meant to be — despite what their zodiac signs say. Since that fateful day in 2011, Nate and Jeremiah have had two kids, Poppy and Oskar.

“Just reflecting on this last season and everything, what moments throughout your day really make you the happiest now?” Jeremiah asked Nate during their HGTV interview. “Besides waking up to me?”

“Well, I don’t wake up to you because you’ve been up for three hours, so I wake up by myself every day,” said Nate.

“But you wake up to a house with candles and music on!” said Jeremiah.

“That’s true. I think for me it’s probably the weekends because I like that we are laser-focused on the family and our kids,” said Nate. “I like that we always go to a fun brunch or lunch with them. I like coming home and having rest time and throwing on a movie for the children. It’s really our time together on the weekends that I think I love the most.”

“The moments in between,” agreed Jeremiah.
