'Unspouse My House' isn’t your average renovation show. Sure, designer Orlando Soria fixes up outdated spaces and brings in gorgeous furniture and decor. But he’s also doing so much more than that. Orlando is giving his newly-single clients a fresh start. He’s ridding their homes of any painful reminders of their ex and helping them move forward with rooms and spaces unique to their individual styles. Meet the Homeowner

It’s been eight years since Paul’s divorce, but it’s only been a couple months since he was able to buy his ex-wife out of the house. With her style still visible in every room — not to mention, Paul’s bachelor pad touches like two TVs on the living room wall and stacked boxes for bedside tables — Paul was in desperate need of Orlando’s assistance. With a budget of $45K, Orlando fixed up Paul’s living room, kitchen and master bedroom.

The Kitchen Before

Paul and his ex-wife had previously updated the kitchen, roughly 12-15 years ago. They wanted a country feel with their white cabinets and tiled countertops.

The Kitchen After

Orlando kept the layout the same — but that’s about it! The cabinetry was replaced with a sleeker, more modern version of what it was previously. The new countertops have a stone-look and the stainless steel appliances do wonders for updating the kitchen. For paint, Orlando went with a calming green color.

One great thing about the kitchen was all this yummy natural light! But one bad thing about it was the big clunky dining room table Paul definitely didn't need.
