11 Reasons We're Crushing on Jonathan Scott and Zooey Deschanel's Adorable Relationship

We're kicking off January with a look at a celebrity couple we're so grateful got together!

Truth Time: We're totally obsessed with Jonathan Scott and Zooey Deschanel as individuals, but especially as a couple. Ever since the Property Brother and New Girl star crossed paths back in August (more on that in a sec), we've been swooning over their flirty Instagram interactions, stunning red carpet debuts, sweet holiday celebrations and pretty much every other public milestone they've shared thus far.

So, when we started thinking about what we were thankful for this year, Jonathan and Zooey's adorable budding relationship was obviously at the top of the list. Here are all the reasons why we're so glad they got together!

Their meet-cute was straight out of a rom-com.

James Corden's segment-turned-Apple TV-series Carpool Karaoke has given us many iconic matchups over the years, from former First Lady Michelle Obama and rapper Missy Elliott to Captain Marvel co-stars Bri Larson and Samuel L. Jackson. But most recently, the hit show paired HGTV's Property Brothers Jonathan and Drew Scott with actress sisters Zooey and Emily Deschanel, of New Girl and Bones — which led to the show's first ever love connection.

While filming their Carpool Karaoke episode back in August (and belting their lungs out and belly-laughing in the process), Jonathan and Zooey quickly bonded. Shortly thereafter, the two were spotted holding hands around Los Angeles and then eventually confirmed their relationship in October. Seriously, just imagine telling your family and friends that host James Corden was your own personal Cupid!

They're comfortable around each other's families, which we love to see.

Zooey and Jonathan didn't just hit it off with each other during Carpool Karaoke; they also vibed with the other's sibling, which is a major plus for any relationship. While other families squawk and squabble around their Thanksgiving tables this year, it's pretty likely that Zooey and Drew will be brainstorming band names for a future singing-related side project.

They inspire us with their cute date ideas and tasteful PDA.

A stroll through the new Tim Burton Exhibit followed by stand-up from comedian Jerry Seinfeld? Clearly, this is a couple who can teach us a thing or two about getting culture with your sweetheart.

They celebrate each other's interests ... and good hair days.

The only thing better than a partner who takes a genuine interest in your passion for documentaries and accompanies you to the Critics' Choice Documentary Awards? A partner who will double-tap your latest pic on Instagram documenting your good hair day. Eagle-eyed fans were quick to spot that Jonathan gave this photo from Zooey a heart.

They have a love that can survive even the scariest situations.

We knew this relationship was rock-solid when Jonathan and Zooey posted matching pics from Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights. Any couple that still gets those warm and fuzzy feelings for each other after encountering killer clowns and chainsaw-wielding skeletons is built to last in our books. (This obviously holds up for our other OTP, Drew and Linda Phan, who were there on a double date!)

They set a new standard for couples costumes.

Speaking of Halloween, Zooey and Jonathan are #goals when it comes to couples costumes. In honor of brother J.D. Scott's October 31 wedding to makeup artist Annalee Belle, Zooey and Jonathan attended the reception as Catwoman and Batman. Her black leather bodysuit complemented his cape so well that it led to this Insta-worthy moment.

Their family double dates keep getting better.

The only thing better than getting to go to the premiere of the newest Star Wars movie is getting to do it with your favorite people. It's especially heartwarming because Jonathan recently told People just how much everyone in his family clicks with Zooey. Drew followed by saying "We love the idea of having her in our lives."

They had the cutest holiday season ever.

It's no secret that the Scott family takes their Christmas caroling duties very seriously. In the past, Jonathan's shared that he, Drew and J.D. join parents Jim and Joanne every year in serenading their neighbors with classics like "Joy to the World" and "We Wish You a Merry Christmas."

The pair had some adorable holiday moments of their own. Between enjoying cookies with cute portraits and vacationing to Disneyland for the new year, it's no wonder Zooey couldn't stop smiling.

They made a stunning pair at the Golden Globes.

Not only did they look amazing, but the captions and comments on these pictures make us swoon. Zooey called Jonathan her "one and only prom date" and he was quick to follow with the perfect comment: "May I have this...and all future dances?" We can't help but root for a couple with that kind of banter!

They are both THRIVING and supporting each other's success.

You might have noticed a new magazine on the shelves featuring some very familiar faces. We think it's sweet that Zooey not only had a part in the first issue of the Scott brothers' new venture, but also continues to cheer Jonathan on via social media.

Zooey herself just recently wrapped a Christmas tour with her band, She & Him. Jonathan was able to make a surprise cameo for a fun duet during one of her tour stops. Not only are they supportive of everything the other does, they have even managed to be a part of those successes!

They make each other happy.

How could you read the caption of Jonathan's birthday shoutout to Zooey and NOT swoon a little bit? It's legitimately heartwarming to see how much light they bring to each other's lives.
