Nilsen Landscape Design, LLC is a boutique landscape design/ management company founded in June of 2010 by Owner and Principal Designer, Andrea Nilsen Morse.

With a BA from Tufts University, Andrea started her career in the healthcare services industry, and spent twelve years with a Boston area company designing and implementing business products and services. During that time, she discovered her love of design, but wanted to combine that interest with a love of the natural world. After an introduction to the field of landscape design, Andrea went back to school and earned a Certificate in Landscape Design from the Boston Architectural College. In 2010 she left the corporate world and launched her own design firm.

Andrea's experience has uniquely positioned her to understand the expectations of busy, professional, homeowners, and to deliver an exceptional, service-oriented experience. As a LEED Green Associate, Andrea strives to incorporate sustainable ideas into her designs and offers her clients a thoughtful, creative and professional approach to their landscape projects.

We feel that the landscape offers opportunity to disconnect from the pace of every day life and connect with the natural environment.

Our approach to design is collaborative and iterative, where we will work together to develop a plan perfect for your property. We draw from the native New England material and plant palette to offer landscapes of a traditional aesthetic, with a focus on detail and craftsmanship.

With over twelve years of experience in the corporate environment managing products and projects, Andrea’s unique approach to landscape design and management combines creativity with project management skills, attention to customer service, and the use of technology to visualize design ideas and communicate project progress. Well suited to working with busy professionals, we make sure the design and installation process is creative and well managed.
