Hide CaptionShow CaptionThere are six bottles of maple syrup on the countertop, six jars of peanut butter, tons of soda and piles of grocery bags.
Homeowners Latricia and Mike Weems have a fairly large kitchen that should provide enough room for them and their young son, Michaelo, but it's just doesn't. The space is overcrowded and hopelessly cluttered. Part of the problem is that the room serves too many purposes — it's a place to cook, a place to eat, an office where they pay bills and a homework station for Michaelo. The family would really like their kitchen to be more spacious and comfortable. They would like to be able to walk in and not have to move piles of papers to sit down at the kitchen table. Professional organizer Betty Kim loves to cook and has yet to back down from any messy kitchen. She's ready to turn this cluttered room into the spacious kitchen it was meant to be.

These homeowners love a bargain. Whenever their favorite items go on sale, they buy in bulk. It is evident by the amount of groceries overflowing from their kitchen cabinets. Add all this to rest of the clutter, and there's the problem.
