Row House Revitalized

Before

Michelle Hsu and Brendon DeSimone share one house, but have two addresses. They are tenants in common. They live in a four-story row house, on separate floors. The house looks old and outdated on this very modern street — and they want to update it. Doyle McCullar has some ideas that will make the house look modern yet unique. This house is cluttered with designs from the past, so we're stripping the whole face down to the studs. We're going modern — clean and simple — with innovative ideas for inspiring designs.

• add slate tiles to bottom portion of the house
  
• add stainless steel plates to garage door
  
• replace front gate with glass gate
  
• new paint
  
• new balconies
  
• new pots for plants
  
• new light fixture and house numbers
  
• new awning
