A cottage-like house, homeowners in need of help and a young new designer go head-to-head on this makeover. Bland landscape and drab paint colors don't mix with these homeowners' big personalities. Our designer and homeowners collaborate to make this place sparkle.

Terry Mulrooney may be a landscape designer by trade, but you'd never know it by looking at his home. Along with his wife, Dawn, and the fresh ideas of our designer, Shannon Mitchell, this house becomes a home with some cottage touches and inventive ideas. Here's how they accomplish it:

Before

  • remove existing landscaping
