We Found a Dupe for Those Trendy Bistro Chairs
Score the timeless French look for $100 off.
Ah, the woven French bistro chair. This more casual Mediterranean cousin to the iconic Parisian bistro chair is just as important in design history and continues to be a popular choice for patio tables and kitchen breakfast nooks alike. It’s effortlessly cool with serious coastal grandma vibes. You’ll find this chair in several colors, from preppy red to chic black, but when I think of cafes along the French Riviera, it has to be blue and white. If you love this classic look, we've found an incredible dupe that's nearly half off of the designer version. With savings like that, you can score a larger set of chairs or save money for a new table, too!
The Riviera Chair
Serena & Lily's Riviera Chair is as close as you'll get to vintage French chairs without ordering from France. The rattan legs and blue-and-white woven seat works inside, outside, at the table or as an accent. It's timeless and transcends the seasons. Pair it with a long picnic-style wooden table for a dining room or a small white marble bistro table for a breakfast nook.
You can buy the Riviera Chair as an armchair or a side chair, but just one chair starts at nearly $300. A set of six would cost you more than $1K. But you're in luck! If you're in love with this design as much as we are and are OK with not getting the cheapest deal possible, both the armchair and side chair are on sale right now! Even on sale, the side chair is still about $40 more than the budget dupe we found below, but it's a great time to snag these real rattan bentwood chairs.

The Dupe Bistro Chair
Behold, the dupe! This bistro chair from Safavieh is nearly identical in silhouette, shape, weave pattern and color. The most noticeable difference is the wrapping around the leg joints. Instead of the blue and white stripe, it's just white, but if you can live without that one detail, you'll save more than $40-$100 a chair. How is it so much cheaper? Look closely at the chair legs. It's the exact same light wood color, but these legs are actually made out of aluminum and not rattan. The only catch to this deal is that you have to buy the chairs in sets of two. We spotted these at Walmart and Amazon, and right now Walmart has the lower price at about $16 less than Amazon.
