Hold On, Glitter Grout Exists and We're Obsessed

All that glitters is grout, apparently.

Stop the presses! There's a new trend in home decorating, and it's taking social media (and our hearts) by storm. Say hello to glitter grout, the sparkliest thing to hit homes since crystal-filled chandeliers.

After I saw pictures of this glittery home trend circulating on Facebook and Instagram last week, I fell in love with the idea of adding glitter grout to just about every tiled surface in my life. Kitchen backsplash? Needs glitter grout. Bathroom floor? Definitely could use some glitter grout. The subway tiles in the actual subway stations I visit everyday? In desperate need of glitter grout.

I mean, come on, we all know glitter makes everything better (or at the very least a lot more fun), so why not add some extra sparkles to your home? The little specks of glitter will not only catch sunlight to create a glistening display, but will also add a glamorous touch to any room.

This new take on grout comes in traditional metallic shades (think: silver and gold), but also more out-there colors like pink, blue and red. So no matter what your color scheme is, you'll be able to find glitter grout to match your decor and personal style. You can find glitter grout at your favorite home stores, including Home Depot and Lowe's, or on niche design sites like Staffordshire Silicones and Custom Building Products. My only request is that you send me pictures of the finished product in all its glittering glory.
