Materials Needed:
- crates, less than 6 inches deep (available at craft stores)
- 1 can spray paint or stain
- scrap paper
- masking tape
- large-picture hanging strips
- spray can exterior clear coat
- level
Paint or Stain Crates
Paint or stain crates as desired with spray paint. Let dry completely.
Planning
From scrap paper, cut rectangles sized to the bottoms of crates. Arrange the paper patterns on wall with masking tape. (Tops of crates can also be used for storage space.)
Apply Strips to Crates
Follow directions on packaging to apply strips to backs of the crates. Use up to four strips per crate. Each large strip holds 4 pounds; with 4 strips, crates can hold up to 16 pounds.
