Maintaining the home's antique charm, Sarah chose traditional blue floral wallpaper, brass accents and oil finished hardwood floors to accent a breathtaking Calacatta marble kitchen island with an attached dining table.

Gorgeous Open-Plan Family Room From Sarah Sees Potential

As seen on season 1 of Sarah Sees Potential, a cinder block wall was removed to create this open and bright basement entertainment area. Sarah highlighted the home's original gray stone fireplace with rustic-modern furnishings in chic blues, grays and rich cherry browns. Plenty of seating and storage allow this room to be used for movie nights, casual dinners or sleepovers for the clients' two young boys.

Light and Airy Traditional Dining Room From Sarah Sees Potential

As seen on season 1 of Sarah Sees Potential, designer Sarah Richardson transformed this once dark and dated dining room into a chic, updated space perfect for entertaining. A new chair rail was added for visual interest and to allow Sarah to install two types of chic beige wallpaper. Dark wood accents in the table, floor and mirror balance the room's primary light, airy color and lend a "steakhouse" feel. Sarah finished the space by closing in an awkward half-wall with antique leaded glass windows repurposed from an old library cabinet.
