Brothers to the Rescue

Jonathan and Drew pose in the newly-renovated kitchen.

The Homeowners

Tom and Bridget Suvansri sold their home...before finding a new one! They're in a rush to vacate their friends' sofa, but also have a sizable wish list: An eat-in kitchen for the kids, a big yard and a luxury-filled master suite with a walk-in closet.

Behind the Scenes

Jonathan and Drew film just outside the Suvansri's new fixer upper home. Next up: the renovation!

Kitchen, Before

Small, dark and dated, this was far from the family's dream kitchen space.

Kitchen, After

After the renovation, the kitchen in this Stamford, Conn. home is spacious and open, with a multi-functional island providing casual seating perfect for homework plus prep space and storage.

Kitchen, Before

The existing kitchen offered ample space, but it needed a major design and space planning update.

Kitchen, After

The large space accomodated the large island so important to the homeowners. White quartz countertops and white cabinets provide contrast against the dark brown, modern cabinets.

Kitchen Island, After

The room's huge island houses the dishwasher, plus ample storage space. Large doorways open to the home's new mudroom and living room.

#Priorities

Framed chalkboards provide a place for family schedules and menus, but there's always time for a little wine!

Style and Function

Upholstered teal stools provide an easy-to-change accent color in this neutral kitchen. The vinyl upholstery makes cleaning up spilled ingredients and little fingerprints a breeze.

Dinner-Ready

The kitchen island is large enough to house a casual dinner for the whole family.

Accent Tiles

Homeowner Bridget requested the square accent tile beneath the kitchen's stainless steel vent hood and behind the cooktop.

Neutral, Not Boring

The multicolored ceramic tile squares accent the cream-colored stone tiles.

Fully-Stocked Bar

There's room for margaritas — and a full party buffet — on this new by-the-door countertop.

Drew's Kitchen Road Test

Drew's cooking dinner? Jonthan's not buying it.

Living Room, Before

Before the renovation, this dining space featured elaborate, outdated wallpaper. Eek!

Living Room, After

The formal dining room is transformed as a comfortable, family-friendly living room. A widened doorway opens up the space into the kitchen.

Living Room, Before

Outdated light fixtures, wallpaper and window treatments were this room's best "features" before the renovation.

Living Room, After

New, graphic wallpaper brings the space into the 21st century, while dark teal accents coordinate with the kitchen right next door.

Living Room, After

A wingback chair in once corner creates a cozy reading nook.

Sectional Sofa

A new sectional sofa provides comfortable seating for the family's next movie marathon.

Home Sweet Home

A personalized pillow and fresh flowers bring homey touches to this space.

Master Bathroom, Before

Dark and dated, this bathroom needed a major update.

Master Bathroom, After

After the renovation, the master bathroom in Tom and Bridget Suvansri's new home is bright and spa-like, with marble floor and shower tile, twin vanities, and plenty of under-sink storage.

Double the Sinks, Double the Utility

His-and-hers sinks make this space even more luxurious.

Shower, Before

Outdated tile and brass accents gave this shower an '80s vibe.

Shower, After

A marble-and-glass shower adds classic elegance to this room.

Luxury Details

A crookneck rain shower head adds a touch of luxury to the shower.

Master Bedroom, Before

This bright but boring master bedroom needed some personality...not to mention a little luxury.

Master Bedroom, After

After the renovation, the master bedroom is bright and spacious with a lightly-patterned wallpaper, simple wooden dressers and blue-gray accents.

Hotel-Inspired Style

Jonathan checked "luxurious bedroom" off the homeowners' wish list with this hotel-inspired suite, complete with a bench at the foot of the bed and a calming color palette.

Sleep In Luxury

A tufted upholstered headboard creates a soft spot for the homeowners to rest their head, and blue-and-white pillows add a plush accent.

Sheer Accents

Sheer window treatments let filtered light stream in, while providing a little privacy.

Ready for Reading

Tom and Bridget have a spot to catch up on their reading (or just relax before bed) in this plush armchair.

Glam Accents

A metallic mirror adds a bit of shine and reflects light through the space.

Naptime?

Drew looks tempted to try out the new king-size bed — but who wouldn't be?

Walk-In Closet

After the renovation, the closet in the master bedroom is filled with ample shelving. So. Much. Shoe. Space.

His and Hers

Tom and Bridget each have a side of the spacious closet. A small bench at one end adds a spot to put on shoes.

Luxury Home Renovation? Check.

Drew and Jonathan pose in the homeowners' new kitchen. (With the renovation done, some friendly competition is in order.)

Happy Homeowners

The whole family loves the new home — now who's ready for a water gun fight?!
