As seen on Love It Or List It, Too, the old piano room was never used so it became the family room with coffered ceilings adjacent to the newly installed fireplace. Jillian brought in a custom made sectional sofa, a wrought iron wall hanging from Egypt and traditional Italian hunting prints to give the family the Tuscan inspired feel they were looking for.
As seen on HGTV's Love It or List It Too, Jillian Harris' overall design began by removing the fireplace obstacle at the entrance, adding around 5 feet to the kitchen. The wall that separated the kitchen from the dining room was removed, The London Grey kitchen island was placed on wheels so that it could easily be moved if more space is needed, it also double as a portable bar-perfect for entertaining. The backsplash is Calcutta marble, which is considered timeless, but was made more contemporary by laying a herring bone design. The floor is Rosedale series, light grey. Walls were painted Silver Drop. Kitchen counter tops are Stone Grey. The small kitchen counter bench left of the stove doubles as a homework desk for Joyce's boys-a request she made so that they can be close while she cooks.

The living room in Jillian's design is bright and clean. With a neutral color on the walls and the sofa, the space gets a bright feel as the light reflects from the large windows in the room. She uses the natural stone and wood of the fireplace and coffee table to warm up the space and give it personality. The family now has a warm, bright space for gathering and entertaining.

As seen on HGTV's Love It or List It Too, the greatest discontent for Holly and Chester's home was the number of 'dysfunctional' spaces and long list of outdated fixtures and appliances. Designer Jillian Harris created a more open space by ripping out the wall that divided the kitchen and living space as Holly wanted to be able to see their baby in the living room while she was in the kitchen. Harris put in a large island with white quartz countertops, and lots of new storage. Pot lights were inserted, hardwood floors were put down. The room has all new furniture. A new insert and limestone tile was added to the fireplace. All coverings for the windows are new.
The removal of the wall that separates the kitchen and the living room creates a more open space for dinners and entertaining. The new white kitchen has new non-slip tiles (for the aging dogs), new cabinets, appliances, and lighting, as well as in-floor heating (for the dogs). The kitchen is also surrounded by built in pocket dog doors which allows the homeowners to contain the dogs in a comfortable environment while they are away. High ceilings and large french doors create a light, airy feel, while touches such as the refurbished fireplace, wood beams, and vintage inspired wallpaper add to the coziness of the space.

Now, the kitchen has plenty of space for storage and prep, while the dining table, which extends from the kitchen island in true Italian fashion, seats up to ten. The Caesar Stone countertops in the color Misty Carrera have been extended to the end of the dining area, and the cabinets are stained opaque, both grey and white, with Benjamin Moor Paint. The flooring throughout the kitchen and the first floor is stone brown red oak from Mercer, and the wall color is Milk Paint from Behr.
As seen on HGTV's Love It or List It Too, this laundry room is now a functional space. With front loading washer and dryer and an extended countertop for folding, this space is practical and very useful.

As seen it on Love It or List It, this beautiful rustic kitchen now has a functional appeal for the family. With plenty of natural light coming in fro the stairs and the windows in the back of the house, the space has a light feeling. The natural wood elements in this kitchen, such as the kitchen island, the exposed beams and the kitchen table, help to bring the rustic style to live, while the muted green kitchen cabinets adds much needed storage space.
The skylight in this kitchen and the large window over the sink lets in lots of natural light, which is reflected off of the clean white surfaces of the kitchen. Additional light is added with the unique pendant lights above the kitchen island. The floors have been fitted with heated floors and non-slip tiles for the comfort of the aging dogs.
