As seen on Love It Or List It, Too, the kitchen and dining room have changed places. Now, the kitchen has plenty of space for storage and prep, while the dining table, which extends from the kitchen island in true Italian fashion, seats up to ten. The Caesar Stone countertops in the color Misty Carrera have been extended to the end of the dining area, and the cabinets are stained opaque, both grey and white, with Benjamin Moor Paint. The flooring throughout the kitchen and the first floor is stone brown red oak from Mercer, and the wall color is Milk Paint from Behr.

With plenty of natural light coming in fro the stairs and the windows in the back of the house, the space has a light feeling. She painted the walls with Behr Cotton Knit and installed engineered hickory hardwood flooring with Tremblant stain. The kitchen entrance was removed and the pantry and office desk area were closed in to create the laundry room. The Ceasarstone kitchen countertops, London Grey and Stone Grey, were extended along the back wall. Jillian removed another pillar in the centre of the kitchen and modernized the existing island with clean straight lines. Jillian completes the kitchen with Antique Imperial Mist subway tile for the backsplash.
The removal of the wall that separates the kitchen and the living room creates a more open space for dinners and entertaining. The new white kitchen has new non-slip tiles (for the aging dogs), new cabinets, appliances, and lighting, as well as in-floor heating (for the dogs). The kitchen is also surrounded by built in pocket dog doors which allows the homeowners to contain the dogs in a comfortable environment while they are away. She painted the walls with Behr Cotton Knit and installed engineered hickory hardwood flooring with Tremblant stain. Jillian added much needed life to the fireplace enclosure with a tile called Contessa Picket. Tying the room together are custom cushions and a custom sofa fabric called Bengal Bronze.

The design for this little girl's room is light and bright with plenty of feminine touches. The mint green of the walls is a light, subtle color, while the light from the large window helps to accent it and make the space lighter. The bedspread brings a nice feminine touch to the space with the floral pattern, and the furniture compliments that design.

As seen on Love It Or List It, Too, the old piano room was never used so it became the family room with coffered ceilings adjacent to the newly installed fireplace. Jillian brought in a custom made sectional sofa, a wrought iron wall hanging from Egypt and traditional Italian hunting prints to give the family the Tuscan inspired feel they were looking for.
As seen on Love It Or List It, the floors throughout the main floor are now a beautiful 6.5" wide maple wood boards called 'Wave Rock.' Opening up this main floor was done by removing the wall that housed the fireplace. The wall that divided the dining room from the kitchen is now a big open peninsula for the family to gather around. The paint color in the dining and kitchen area is Behr 'Creme de la Creme.' The trim is painted 'Popped Corn.' The color in the living room and hall is 'Salt Glaze.' Jillian pulled her design together with the glass chandelier that helps to add a traditional touch to the space.
As seen on HGTV's Love It or List It Too, designer Jillian Harris created a more open space by ripping out the wall that divided the kitchen and living space and putting in a large island with white quartz countertops and lots of new storage. The previous countertops were so outdated, their width did not accommodate a dishwasher. The hardware and lighting was replaced, Edison lights hang above the island, hardwood floors were put down.
The space that was once a small bedroom made a perfect home office nook. Some much-needed storage cabinets and a stairway to the home's lower level were also built into the area, as seen on HGTV's Love It or List It, Too.
