Moroccan Makeover

Lara Spencer (Designer/Flea Market expert and Good Morning America Anchor) and her amazing design team help Fred and Ingrid completely renovate their storage basement into a chic Moroccan inspired family room. To do this, Lara and the team hunt for second-hand treasures at estate sales, flea markets and consignment shops to transform into chic pieces. An old hutch is updated with a Moroccan twist, a 50s television is turned into a media console, a rustic game table is repainted with an amazing ornate window pattern and two salvaged doors are redesigned as a new custom sliding door. Not everything works out as planned. There's problems with the paint on the table and the installation proves challenging. Eventually the team figures the perfect layout but what will the family think of their new Moroccan inspired entertainment room? For the second family, Lara and the team re-envision Tim and Aimee's kitchen into kitchen and dinning area. Aimee is a breast cancer survivor who wants to have a party to thank her friends and family for supporting her and her family. Lara decides to modernize this space in a blue and yellow palette. Lara and the team track down great used pieces at flea markets, estate sales and consignment shops that can be recycled, reimagined and repurposed. A broke down table proves to be unsalvageable as it breaks while being updated and the team must find solutions on the fly. The kitchen gets a complete demo while the team makes over the room with completely redone second-hand scores. Problems arise but everything is resolved that is until Lara finds out that Tim and Aimee don't like the color yellow which is key to her design in the room! What will the family think once their new kitchen with lots of yellow is revealed?
