About

Drawing on over 20 years of interior design experience in the greater Nashville area,  Connie is an award-winning designer who creates both beautiful and purposeful homes that are sure to leave a unique and lasting impression.  Armed with a finely honed approach to the design process, she helps her clients envision each detail through a series of hand drawn sketches, elevations, and perspectives.

Connie’s passion for historical architecture is evident through her work; her extensive knowledge of the subject has been gained through her own travels and education (BFA, Interior Design), and she has been a passionate lecturer at Watkins College of Art, Design, & Film, where she was made adjunct professor of Historical Architecture for over ten years.

Vernich specializes in creating comfortable, tailored, and practical spaces for her clients; her interiors are timeless and adaptive, providing comfort and utility that works from both an everyday and stylistic standpoint.  As mother of four boys (all grown now), Connie understands first-hand that family is the heart of the home, and she is inspired to conceive environments that recognize the past, support the demands of the moment, and prepare for any changes yet to come.

Connie has been awarded countless recognitions, including twenty ASID Awards (American Society of Interior Designers), twelve People’s Choice Awards, and a feature on HGTV showcasing her design for the Ensworth Home Library.  Connie was born in Toronto (Ontario, Canada) and lives in Nashville with her husband David; they enjoy traveling, hiking, and cooking together, and of course love to host regular gatherings with friends and family.
