A design full of spunk and energy, the kids’ bedroom diverts from the norm with a blend of fun vibrant hues and bold striped walls to deliver a definite wow factor. “We were looking at preppy colors, and the hot bright pastels were sort of the beginning of this room,” says interior designer Linda Woodrum.

Lead architect Patrick Ahearn designed the HGTV Dream Home 2015 kids’ bathroom across the hallway from the kids’ bedroom for privacy and convenience. Cheerful décor continues throughout the bathroom through duplicated patterns and colors.

Open and airy thanks to exposed pine beams and bright, soaring ceilings, this modern mountain bunkroom at HGTV Dream Home 2014 is designed for children, but the array of red-and-white patterns makes it sophisticated enough for adult guests.
