White Chocolate Peppermint Popcorn Recipe
Yield: 8 servings
- 8 cups unsalted popped popcorn
- 1 cup peppermint candy, crushed
- 2 cups white chocolate chips
- 1 teaspoon salt
Heat chocolate chips in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly until melted.
Add 1/2 cup of finely-crushed peppermint into the melted chocolate, and stir until incorporated.
Pour popcorn into a large bowl, add salt, then shake the bowl to distribute evenly.
Add Melted Mix to Popcorn
Slowly pour in the melted chocolate-peppermint mixture across the top of the popcorn.
Mix It All Up
Use your hands to mix the chocolate/peppermint into the popcorn. Repeat until the popcorn is thoroughly coated in the chocolate-peppermint mixture. Tip: If you want to keep things less messy, wear latex gloves for this step.
Add More Peppermint
Dump most of the remaining peppermint into the popcorn bowl and continue mixing with your hands. Hold back a small amount of peppermint to garnish with later.
Garnish Each Serving
Once fully coated, spoon out the popcorn into serving bowls. Add crushed peppermint to the top of each serving.
