Love Makes a Home

My home is the happiest and brightest when we're all together. Me, with my sons Zion and Ian.

Color Meets Monochrome

Orange works beautifully against this black and white hide rug.

A Warm Shade in the Bedroom

The dramatic, dark wall color is Benjamin Moore Soot and is accented with my favorite color, orange. The poster art behind the bed is by Joan Miro.

Taste of the Tropics

Tropical wallpaper by Justina Blakeney for Hygge and West makes the perfect backdrop to showcase these plants.

Repurpose and Refresh

Pictured is a thrifted bookcase that was painted and now showcases some of Ian's favorite things.

Pocket Office

This was once a closet that I transformed into my tiny but efficient office.

Old Soul, New Art

This eclectic gallery wall is in Zion's bedroom. The dresser is vintage and demonstrates how you can easily repurpose pieces to lend style to a child's room.

Plant Perch

My mantel is just one of the many places I like to highlight houseplants in my home.

Pattern Play

This patterned chair against the fireplace is the perfect cozy spot to read or chill. The mask on the far right wall is from Tanzania, the wooden statue is from Ghana and the Picasso poster on the mantel is vintage. The brass candlesticks were a thrift store find.

Hot Spot

This view of the living room really shows the impact of orange.

Art Wall

This chalk mural is by the hubby.

Vivid Green

This wall color is Benjamin Moore Egyptian Green, in case you want to try it at home.

Happy Houseplant

One of our favorite rooms is the sunroom and the happiest fiddle leaf fig in all the land; Glory the Fig.

Color-Filled Playroom

Let it Shine

Tell a Story

This vignette with masks and plant features decor sourced from travels. The two smaller masks were bought in Jamaica and made by a local artist there. The colorful mask was bought in Italy.

Keep it Green

Plants, art and books make for a cozy vignette in the master bedroom.
