Our 10 Favorite Designers to Watch on Instagram Stories

We've got even more inspiration at our fingertips.

Instagram really shook up the social media world with the introduction of "Stories." Basically, Instagram Stories lets you share more casual, on-the-fly photos and videos throughout the day. It appears in a separate area of your feed (at the top) and only lasts for 24 hours before disappearing. If you think that sounds a lot like Snapchat, you’re not alone.

While most people are still digesting the addition, we’ve quickly become hooked on following several of our favorite creatives as they share even more of their everyday lives.

Here are 10 accounts we’re currently crushing on:

If you love DIYs, you have to follow Megan — pronto. This Brooklyn designer consistently comes up with some of the most clever and doable projects we’ve ever seen. This photo is a recent DIY project she took on in her own home: patterned, painted floors. The results are jaw-dropping, and she’s been documenting everything on Instagram Stories.

Chicago blogger Kyla is vintage-obsessed. So, watching her put together her new house with all sorts of fabulous thrifted finds is all the more entertaining when she takes us along to estate sales, local shops and the famous Randolph Flea Market.

Follow along with Seattle blogger Joanna Hawley as she takes you behind the scenes of her lifestyle blog, Jojotastic. From DIY photo shoots to adventures around the city with her pups, you get to ride shotgun with Joanna. She also recently bought a super small house and has been sharing all of her renovations and design decisions along the way.

Susan and William Brinson own a rambling, historic home in upstate New York called Stonyford. They are meticulously restoring and renovating the home room-by-room, and they’re sharing the whole process with us daily. William is a photographer and Susan is a stylist, so you also get a killer behind-the-scenes look at their various shoots. Their two adorable dogs, Sugar and Nero, almost always make cameos, too.

Nicole Balch has been sharing her home on her site, Making it Lovely, for quite a few years. But she continues to transform her historical abode in the suburbs of Chicago and always seems to have a fun project or two she’s cooking up. This summer she's been documenting the transformation of her outdoor space, with a recent adorable sandbox project for her kiddos.

If bohemian style is your thing, then you’ll want to follow Jennifer Harrison ASAP. Jen’s home is magazine-worthy, and she shares sneak peeks and tours daily. She’s building a large studio in the back of her house to accommodate her quickly expanding Moroccan pillow, pouf and design biz, as well as to accommodate her '70s Winnebago, which she's slowly but surely restoring.

Copy Cat Chic is focused on giving you the inside scoop on how you can create a luxe look at home for less. The site is run by Reichel Broussard, and she’s often sharing little tidbits of her own home and previews of upcoming content on her site. She also dives into “blogger mail,” which includes special deliveries that she receives from companies who are looking to share new products.

Natasha is passionate about sharing her tips, tricks and sources for all of the great interior projects she takes on. When she’s starting a new DIY project she shares everything you’ll need, as well as tricky stuff you should watch out for based on her own process of trial and error. You’ll come away with a fresh, new design or DIY idea every time you watch one of her Instagram Stories.

Gwen from The Makerista shares snippets from her life with her kids, design projects and views into her own home. Her recent kitchen renovation is one of the most impactful before-and-afters we’ve ever laid eyes on.

This is totally a shameless plug for my own Instagram Stories feed. I love to share shopping expeditions to Los Angeles’ famous Rose Bowl flea, easy DIY tutorials and mini tours of my home. I also share “shopping hauls” from the thrift store, as well as tips and suggestions for my favorite tools and resources to stay organized.
