An easy way to repeat a color scheme throughout the room is with pillow and cushion covers. Re-covering the sofa cushions and pillows with fat quarters (a quilting term for small pre-cut pieces of fabric) is much easier than buying yards of fabric you don't need. To keep cushions from slipping out of place, sew two D-rings onto a piece of ribbon and then sew the ribbon to the couch. Sew another ribbon to the cushion and then slip that ribbon through the D-rings attached to the couch. Cushions will stay put!
