The couple is in shock to see that their bedroom has been transformed into a beautiful, spa-like retreat. Alternating silvery-blue stripes in a matte and semigloss finish are painted on the walls. New silk drapes frame the windows, and the old, grungy carpet is replaced with a mahogany-finished laminate floor. Gone is the 1970s bedroom set and in its place is a modern, clean-line set. A small love seat and ottoman (not shown) provide an additional place to kick back. With five kids in the house, practicality was not overlooked — the love seat and ottoman are covered in machine-washable slipcovers.
