This rocky, hillside back yard was transformed by licensed contractor Matt Blashaw and his crew. Upgrades included tiered landscaping, a covered dining area and an intimate sitting area next to a washtub firepit. After the backyard makeover at DIY Network’s Yard Crashers, homeowners Brooke and Zach Taylor of Auburn, CA now have a lush and vibrant backyard for their entire family to enjoy- a stark contrast from the rocky hillside that took up much of their yard before! The transformation by licensed contractor Matt Blashaw and his crew includes a metal and wood pergola, hillside creek water feature, privacy screen with wood and metal, a Big Green Egg smoker and custom cart, and a firepit with seating. The fire pit sits on a raised platform with a rock wall boder. Two washtubs filled with rock form the fire pit itself which sets on a bed of decomposed granite. The pit is surrounded by custom metal privacy screens. (after)(detail)
This outdoor kitchen, featured in season 4 of DIY Network's Yard Crashers, has a stone-top table with built-in fire pit. A simple grill is attached to a countertop with sink for convenience in food prep, cooking and cleanup.
In this backyard, the stacked stone fire pit is surrounded by a polished concrete patio and beautiful landscaping. The raised seating area creates a distinct outdoor space separate from the rest of the yard.
After the backyard makeover at Apryl Winston and Mike Crawford's California home, the space that used to be vast and empty is now perfect for both entertaining and relaxing thanks to licensed contractor Matt Blashaw. Mike's favorite part of the makeover was this waterfall with a fall pond and dry creek beds.
This backyard makeover from DIYNetwork's Yard Crashers is a multi-purpose space with a wooden pergola covering an entertaining space with a retro metal dining set. Further in to the yard, a custom bar with wooden bar stools overloooks a water feature and small garden bed.
