Will they choose the charming craftsman? Or 'The Movie Theater House' that Chip describes as a cross between a cinema and a funeral parlor? Luke and Rachel Whyte are a young couple with a growing baby girl, and they feel it's time to settle into a family-sized house. They're looking for a house with 3-4 bedrooms, and Rachel is hoping for a space that she can make into a playroom/home office. They have an all-in budget of $277,000, which gives them nice flexibility in the Woodway area. The first house they visit Joanna jokingly names the 'Chip House' because its reddish roof and orange-colored bricks remind her of a sunburned Chip on their first date. The Chip house is cute with a nice backyard, but overall it feels small. The next house has a similar red brick exterior to the Chip House, only bigger and slightly newer, so Chip and Joanna call it 'Chip 2.0.' Inside, several areas are totally falling apart and the carpeted master bathroom needs a major overhaul. Their last stop is nicknamed the 'Taj Mahal' for its lofty location at the top of a hill and the ornate furniture they find inside. The view is stunning and the house has a balcony that looks over nearly all of Waco.
