Sarah Richardson, host and designer on HGTV’s Sarah’s House, started her television career more than 15 years ago as a behind-the-scenes prop stylist and set decorator. As the world of design television expanded, Sarah quickly found herself in high demand as an on-air personality known for sharing her practical and inspiring approach to interior design with viewers.
For more than a decade, Sarah has led her design firm, Sarah Richardson Design Inc., in new and exciting directions with an ever-increasing roster of both residential and commercial projects. Sarah places great emphasis on thoughtfully tailoring her work to meet her clients’ personal style and taste. She combines creativity and well-honed skill to express her signature style through interiors with timeless appeal.
Named as one of Canada’s foremost “style-makers” by Canadian House & Home magazine, Sarah’s work is frequently showcased in Canada’s top design publications. In addition, she is the contributing design editor for Canadian Home & Country magazine and was named by Caldwell Partners as one of Canada’s Top 40 Under 40, an award that recognizes exceptional Canadians who are outstanding leaders in their chosen fields.
When not revamping homes for TV, Sarah is busy with her growing collection of signature product lines including indoor and outdoor furnishings. To keep the demands of a hectic TV life in balance, Sarah spends weekends at the solar-powered cottage she shares with her husband and daughters.
