The tiled backsplash introduces a layer of pattern to the kitchen, while the range hood creates a prominent focal point.

The client wanted a classic kitchen that was also very clean-cut. To achieve this, designer Peter Salerno used a white-painted perimeter with a long walnut island, coupled with marble countertops and white beams on the ceiling to pull it all together. The high contrast in the kitchen helps keep it looking clean.

A subtle mix of shapes keeps the kitchen looking interesting. Curvy countertops and arched windows offset the linear coffered ceiling and traditional cabinetry.
