This home, once decorated in 80s colors like bright pink, cried out for a makeover. Designers drew on the owners' SoCal roots to update it to California modern farmhouse style with Scandinavian-inspired elements. The galley kitchen felt closed off, so the changes included knocking down a wall and building an addition to accommodate larger kitchen and a new breakfast nook with a pantry.

Pendant lights, new windows and white walls and cabinets open up this kitchen and make it feel bright and airy. Simple, wood stools with metal frames add to the modern farmhouse decor.

Extra-long subway tiles were used to make a beautiful backsplash for this white kitchen. A wooden cutting board and round tray added elements of natural, Scandinavian style.

Wider floorboards in farmhouse style and fresh coats of white and grey paint brightened this kitchen and eating area. Several windows and a kitchen door were also added, along with a lot of new millwork on storage spaces.
