Hide CaptionShow CaptionThe daybed is one of the most distinctive pieces in the house. This comfortable landing doubles as a living space where folks can step outside to commune with nature, curl up on the daybed and take a nap or even spend the night.
The daybed is one of the most distinctive pieces in the house. Custom-made for this space, it's constructed entirely of Aspen wood branches smoothed and lightly glazed, but still retains enough of their original rough form to remind you of a soaring tree. The effect is a stunning piece of furniture that appears to have been made entirely from the local woodpile.
"I wanted to go funky and a little crazy with this piece," says designer Linda Woodrum. "It's unlike anything else in the house."
