Bright Ideas

A window wall and numerous skylights allow plenty of natural light to flood into this modern home office. White walls make the most of the sunshine, while bold orange Womb chairs and accessories offer a lively contrast. Design by RMS user flgirlaol.

Shelf Life

Designer Ilija Karlusic utilizes this small space by creating a desk unit with ample storage, set off by a sliding door. A simple set of white shelves runs the length of the wall, complete with modern, under-shelf lighting. The specialized lighting calls attention to items displayed above the workspace and showcases the character of the wood panels behind it.

Directed View

Designing this workspace to face the outside offers an uplifting view, and a modern chaise lounge provides the perfect place to curl up and read and relax. Angling a portion of the desk offers a space on the side to scribble ideas aside from the computer and particularly calls attention to the wood grain of the desk. Design by Velvet Hammerschmidt.

Home Gallery

Bright white walls and a sleek, shiny desk give this small space a gallery-like feel. An artful smoke-gray office chair provides contrast, while warm hardwood floors and informal sketches keep the mood light. Design by Emily Henderson.

Cohesive Unit

This office space shows a unified front using cherry-stained wood for the backdrop, desk and narrow shelf, creating an immediate feeling of warmth. An industrial touch is created by physically connecting the back panel to the steel beam above. Design by SPI Design.

Loft Office

A loft space with city views creates a sleek work area. This view is further framed through a floating glass sculpture. A classic, modern leather desk chair provides the perfect seat to work or simply admire the view. Design by Andreas Charalambous.
