Valentine's Day Love Box

Learn how to put together a lovely garden inspired-gift for your favorite gardener.

Gather Your Supplies

For this craft, you will need:

a divided box (I used a vintage crate) or basket

sphagnum moss

assorted potted miniature plantings

decorative moss

candle

cut flowers

small vase

soaps

garden tool

small statue

local honey

canister of herbal tea

seed packets

garden twine

air plant

ribbon

black marker

Add Moss

Add a bit of sphagnum moss to each divided area to provide some cushion to the gardening elements.

Small Plantings

Add some small plants to decorative pots and top with moss. I chose succulents.

Tuck 'Em In

Begin to arrange your box. Tuck the three plants into spaces in the box.

Get Local

As a beekeeper, I tucked in a jar of my very own honey from my beehives. You can also add a jar of local honey too.

Candles and Tea

Add a lovely floral scented candle and a tin of your favorite herbal tea. It's the perfect way to warm up after a chilly day spent in the garden.

Gardener's Soaps

Handmade beautiful soaps made just for gardeners are the perfect way to soothe and rinse off those hard working hands.

Seed Packets

Add a few packets of seeds to be planted later in the spring.

Handy Tools

A small gardening trowel is perfect for small gardening tasks.

A Spool of Twine

Gardening twine is a favorite friend of gardeners. Include a spool as it is always welcome and needed.

Unexpected Tillandsia

Add an unexpected touch to the box by tucking an air plant into the top of the twine.

Statues Rule

Tuck a tiny garden statue into one of the spaces. Here a squirrel is ready to share his bounty.

Ribbon Sentiment

Cut a small length of ribbon. With a calligraphy marker write a special message.

A Lovely Landscape

By mixing elements, your eyes are drawn to the variety of goodies in the box.

Succulent Love

A lovely echerveria is simply stunning upon closer inspection.

A Garden Bounty

What gardener wouldn't be delighted with the array of special treats tucked into this well-curated gift-box?
