"The Nashville identity is fun and energized," explains interior designer Linda Woodrum. When choosing colors and art for the basement, the design team focused on music and creativity.

To celebrate Nashville and the music scene, a locally-sourced guitar painting adds a quirky touch to the overall design.

Jack Thomasson, the house planner and visionary behind the basement space, snagged two oversized lamps, made from antique propane tanks, at local store.

"The basement is a place you can go a little wild," says interior designer Linda Woodrum. Contemporary fabrics and vibrant colors create a fun-filled vibe throughout.

Designed to feel like an urban loft, the ceiling showcases exposed rafters and is outfitted with nine speakers that blend in seamlessly.

Geometric patterns and shades of gray come in by way of contemporary pillows, furnishings, and blankets.

A vintage-style iron lamp with an aged finish is designed with a pulley system, to mimic industrial equipment.

For the ultimate theater room experience, a large projector screen retracts from the ceiling. Ceiling speakers and two subwoofers, built into the wall, produce dramatic sound throughout the room.

The projector features HD video with streaming capabilities and connectivity to the whole-home system.

A classic mix of relaxed industrial, this sculptural side table stands in harmony to the room's bold, vintage-inspired aesthetic.

An orange accent pillow breaks up somber gray hues with an energetic punch.

Conveniently located next to the stairway, the basement bathroom is full-service, so no one will ever have to leave the party to go upstairs.

Easy to clean and durable, these concrete floors embrace modern design and will withstand even the toughest crowd.

Back-to-back couches and a console divide the room into two spaces, a lounge area and a stage for music-lovers.

An electronic pet door allows pets to come and go as they please. The door is activated by a sensor attached to the pet's collar.

Another standout area in the basement is this Cross Fit gym, equipped with kettlebells, a medicine ball, jump ropes, and a yoga mat.

An orange-and-white striped wall adds a boost of energy, while the cement chalkboard wall gives homeowners a way to track weekly workouts.

The industrial black ceiling is countered by the contemporary decor in this basement living room. Mixed patterns and shades of gray come together for a cohesive feel. A light gray, graphic sofa, chevron dark gray and black coffee table, and solid gray chair furnish the viewing area for the projector mounted to the ceiling beams.

A climate-controlled closet houses the AV system and keeps equipment from overheating.
