The room's modern industrial features and neutral color palette are paired with soft, cozy touches, including a padded upholstered headboard. "We have a queen-size bed, but with this headboard, it almost appears larger," says Lindsay Pumpa. "It looks like you've got this big expansive bed going wall to wall."

A soft bamboo silk rug, custom designed by Boston's Medallion Gallery, anchors the space and offers a slight sheen. "The gallery owner drew out the entire motif you see on the rug and had it loomed in India," says Lindsay Pumpa.

For privacy, a pocket door separates the main bedroom from the living room. Pops of gold reference the dome of the Massachusetts State House.

A leather armchair, paired with a studded metal toss pillow, draws attention. "Chartreuse is making a huge comeback right now, so I pulled that in to give a splash of color in the corner of the bedroom," says Lindsay Pumpa.
