Main House Entry and Pond at Night

The homeowners wanted to have a water feature that would collect rain water from the large horizontal roof and have it cascade around the house when it rains. By recirculating the water, the designers made the feature active year round.

Main House Entry Bridge and Water Trough

At the entrance, a bridge of local Lilac Bluestone crosses over the trough that collects rain water. At night, LED lighting underneath the bridge makes it appear to float.

Water Feature With Stone Wall

The house's beautiful water features echo the creeks and ponds in the forests nearby. This runnel lies directly beneath the eaves of the house. As the water travels north along the façade it bisects a stone wall and falls into a metal basin.

Stone Terrace With Firepit and Lake View

To show off the residence's sweeping views of Lake Champlain, the designers set up careful terraces and walkways. The stone plinth wall makes the house and terraces seem to float above the meadow.
