The client wanted to incorporate the feel of an Italian grotto fountain into the design. In this location, Harold Leidner Landscape Architects was able to take advantage of the natural grade change of the site and the finished grade of the house. The difference between these two grades allowed for a retaining wall to become the fountain wall.

What a peaceful place to enjoy some company. This outdoor design includes a small sitting area with rocking chairs and a fire pit. A koi pond runs directly beside the sitting space to contribute to the tranquil setting.

A linear koi pond runs directly next to the lower outdoor sitting area. A stacked stone retaining wall includes several fountain spouts that help keep the pond full for the fish.
