A rich black accent wall sets the tone for this master bedroom, making the space look chic yet subdued for sleep. By extending the wood paneling from the ceiling to the wall, the designers created a smart backdrop on which to layer an upholstered headboard and two nightstands.

As a nod to the home's coastal location in Palmetto Bay, Fla., the designers outfitted this kitchen with bright blue cabinets. A large island with a deep sink and built-in shelving centers the space, while a marble-topped table with four chairs makes room for guests.
