Kitchen Island with White Oak Planks and Brass Legs

The end of the kitchen island is covered in the same hand-scraped solid White Oak planks as the refrigerator and freezer to complete the homeowners' request for something organic and unique. The planks are arranged in a chevron pattern to add a fun detail to the island and refrigerator and freezer. To offset the weight of the cantilevered countertop that extends from the island's base cabinets, brass poles were added to the outer corners of this piece. These brass poles match the brass fixtures in the rest of the kitchen, creating a continuous design throughout the space.

Moroccan Details Create a Unique Kitchen

The homeowners wanted a unique space for their family, so designers found Moroccan tiles for the backsplash and had custom Oak planks arranged in a chevron pattern on the front of the refrigerator and freezer. For the final touch, un-lacquered brass hardware and pendant lights add even more character to the design.
