Lift the flaps, and fold them upwards at an angle. Firmly crease, so the tip of the fold aligns with the corner of the paper. Repeat all these steps two more times to create three pieces total for a tiered tree.

Place double-stick tape or an adhesive dot on the top of one of the triangles (Image 1), and attach to the bottom of another triangular piece (Image 2). Repeat to add the last triangular piece to the middle piece (Image 3).

Make Miniature Origami Stars

Take a strip of 1/2”x11” paper, and fold it at one end to create a knot (Image 1). Crease all edges, but not as firmly creased as if you were using origami paper. Fold any extra length into the pocket of the knot (Image 2). The knot on the end should be a perfect pentagon (Image 3).

Wrap the long tail of the paper around the pentagon, keeping folds lightly creased as you wrap (Image 1). When you reach the end, tuck it in (Images 2 and 3).

Add dimension to the star by holding the five flat sides between your fingers, and simultaneously pressing them inward (Image 1). The five corners should remain intact while the sides will bend inward, making them more dimensional. Repeat, until you have enough stars to top your folded trees (Image 2).
