A Pretty in Pink House in East Nashville

Social media influencer and retro connoisseur Beverly Griffith @thehouseofadora has created a gorgeous shrine to the color pink in her historic East Nashville home. Beverly painted her home in 2021 and "it's gone crazy since then," she says, often booked as a location for photo and music video shoots for Kacey Musgraves, British-born and Nashville-based singer Yola and Hawthorne Heights.

The woman behind The House of Adora is an avid collector with a special love of telephones, mirrors and vintage items from the Sixties and Seventies. Her design sweet spot is a blend of Hollywood Regency and Eighties Postmodernism. Her Nashville home is a museum of design trends come and gone that she blends into a vibrant whole. "I buy something and if it doesn't work, I sell it" says Beverly of a space that is "always a work in progress."

The Power of a Pink Entry

It's hard to deny the sense of welcome, fun and curiosity about what lurks inside delivered in Beverly's gorgeous Valentine's Day card entry defined by a vintage Peacock Chair. Naysayers have told Beverly her home would drop in value when she painted it pink, but the opposite is true: her home has become a local and even national testament to the power of tailoring your home to your personal tastes. All of the exterior pinks on the home are from Farrell-Calhoun and include Garden Glory 1106 on the body of the house, Dollie 1115 on the house trim and Pink Explosion 1108 on the porch and doors.

A Dramatic Welcome in This Flamboyant Foyer

Beverly found the gilt cage sourced from Nordstrom's at a local vintage store. The lace curtains on the front door diffuse light and add a little privacy. Inspired by the '60s and '70s, Beverly's signature style is Americana luxe with nods to Elvis, Las Vegas, Jayne Mansfield and old Hollywood.
