If you casually pass by this renovated barn at Maple Hill Farm, you'd be awestruck by the live musical performances that await you inside. The cottage-style structure, stained in a dark walnut complementing the surrounding reclaimed wood railing and verdant terrain, is simple in design but beautiful nonetheless.

Designers at Kelly & Co. Design describe this renovated barn as "such a special space" for guests to relax and enjoy live performances. The design team was able to wire the barn for live music performances by re-framing the entire space with acoustic sound panels. For TV viewing, a large TV was hidden in the ceiling and can be lowered by remote control.

Grammy award-winning sound engineers were enlisted to acoustically soundproof this open-concept living room. All of the fabric panels are ingeniously hidden beneath the rustic reclaimed barn board, and the windows are double-paned and sealed, including the giant barn door entryway which has a glass "envelope" once you enter. All of these measures were taken to keep the place completely quiet. The light fixtures had the glass taken out so they wouldn't vibrate during music recording as well. Every detail was carefully thought out. You can't hear a sound outside when they are jamming inside!

Kelly and Co. designed this amazing space for their client who loves to play music and invite exciting acts from all over the world to join him for events benefiting his music foundation. Great for entertaining, the space includes a cozy seating area with Chesterfield sofas and a stone fireplace for added ambiance.
