Loft-Style Living

California couple Josh Campbell and Mac Gaspard wanted a loft-style home with excellent lighting and an open floorplan.

Dine-In Kitchen

Just off the kitchen, an industrial table for four epitomizes the style the couple had hoped for.

Hardware Update

Sharp, clean lines throughout the home contribute to the couple's desire for a sleek, minimalistic design style. The silver hardware and stainless steel fridge give the home a modern vibe.

Down-Played Dining Room

A neutral dining space with minimal decor and an unadorned wood table give the second-floor dining room a calm, streamlined look.

Linked by Lighting

The couple's use of contemporary lighting fixtures throughout the home not only fits into their desire for a modern look, but it also ties each room together for a more cohesive design style.

Open Communication

Exactly what Josh and Mac had hoped for, the dining room looks over the living space in this open townhouse, which creates a nice flow throughout the home that makes this space perfect for dinner parties.

Open Concept

Downstairs, the living room's high ceiling and white walls contribute to the room's overall bright and open look. Simple furnishings with a contemporary look give the space a soft, classic look.

Flooring Story

Light hardwood floors were used throughout the townhouse to brighten the space and give the home a more contemporary feel.

Neutral Accent

A modern fireplace seems to almost blend in with the striped accent wall, while dark draperies frame another sitting area on the patio outside.

Bonus Room

The patio offers a plenty of seating, and since the weather in Southern California is generally pleasant, this sitting area can be enjoyed year round.

Private Party

Comfortable outdoor furniture and a wood privacy fence make this space the perfect spot to entertain.

Living Room Double Take

Just off the kitchen, a second living area provides an excellent spot to entertain before dinner is prepared.

Bye Bye, Carpet

Once covered with dated carpeting, hardwood flooring and a gorgeous cowhide rug give this sitting space a much more modern look.

Happy Home Office

Josh and Mac wanted to keep the home office space very simple and light. High ceilings and plenty of natural light create a bright, cheery atmosphere.

Team Work

Here, Mac and Josh work together to give their second bathroom a brand new look.

Brand-New Bath

Since Josh prefers a cool color palette, the couple used white and sea green to transform their second bathroom.

Master Bedroom Reveal

In the master bedroom, Josh and Mac are delighted as designer David Brian gives the space his finishing touches.

Sunshine Yellow Bedroom

To energize the space, the couple chose a fun yellow hue to use on the accent wall in the master bedroom. The cheerful color is also found in the rug and several throw pillows, which ties the whole look together.

Power of Pillows

A plethora of pillows in varying sizes and prints creates a cute display, incorporating the room's signature hue and introducing a few classic neutrals.

New Take on Nightstands

As an alternative to classic nightstands, small suspended storage shelves provide room for the essentials, while still keeping with the home's minimal, streamlined approach.

Seating for Two

A pair of neutral chairs creates an intimate sitting area in the master bedroom. More throw pillows create a cozy look and tie in the room's vibrant color palette.

Master Suite

The couple's master bathroom features a pair of contemporary gray vanities that can be seen from the bedroom.

Bathroom Before

In a before image of the master bathroom, dated gray carpets and boring tile flooring prove it was time for an upgrade.

Two Spaces in One

New white tile flooring separates the master bathroom from the bedroom, while a plush gray rug ties the spaces together.

Stylish Sink

New sinks with sleek hardware contribute to the room's contemporary aesthetic.

Storage Options

Both vanities offer storage underneath, while geometric cubbies provide extra space for towels and decor.

Fun With Shapes

The triangle shape of each cubby makes it easy to stack towels, while the unique design adds a quirky, unexpected element to the space.

Clean Design

The glass shower features white subway tiles and a convenient shower niche. The simple shower design reflects Josh and Mac's desire for a bright, streamlined look.

Simplistic Style

For the guest bedroom, the couple kept it simple with white bedding and a few classic pieces.

Light Tricks

A soaring white ceiling reflects light, brightening the guest bedroom and making the petite room feel more spacious.
