Painting the inside of the gazebo was not an option because Kate wanted to leave the wood natural. So, Todd created upholstered panels, like wainscoting to fit underneath the windows. The plywood is simply wrapped in fabric, so the panels can easily be taken down and stored away come wintertime. Three palm-patterned shower curtains are cut into six pieces to create waterproof window treatments.

Fabric wainscoting $80 and curtains $52
