To create a baking center in this Tuscan kitchen, the counter height was lowered, a slab of marble for the work surface was added and the backsplash color and design purposely don't match the rest of the kitchen. Shelving gives the space a feeling of assembled furniture. Tip: Use multiple colors on cabinets to create an Old World feeling with a Tuscan twist.
