Designer's Notes

Like a lot of older homes, this room had some bad modifications made by previous owners, including the original French doors being replaced by sliding doors. The designer was able to determine where the French doors and sidelights had been and carefully restored the home, providing a mill worker with drawings of the custom French doors, using hand-blown glass and antique French cremone bolts. Now the eye is drawn back to the beautiful view of the rear garden and the home remains period appropriate. The English and French antiques mixed with modern furniture and art is a signature look of J. Stephens Interiors.
