Designer's Notes

This client desired an elegant French Provencal-themed dining room, with an emphasis on pared down simplicity. The studded leather host and hostess chairs bring an Old World touch, while toning down the room's formality. The side chairs feature three complementary fabrics: a solid, stripe and houndstooth pattern on distressed painted frames. The trestle table features an elaborate French-carved base with a metal stretcher. An antique Italian torchiere illuminates a corner of the room. Photo by Beth Singer Photographer, Inc.
