Paint contractor Danielle Hirsch painted gold diamonds on the wainscoting; these ground the room without making it too bottom heavy. McAloon repeated the diamond pattern with fabric covered cardboard diamonds that she affixed to the new doors that cover the alcove. The room is pulled together and centered with a richness that dazzles.
