Sneak Peek
The side entry shows the impressive sneak peek that greets visitors to this laid-back and homey Portland, Maine property. "It's a showstopper from the street and from the driveway because you can't help but notice all the color inside," says designer Brian Patrick Flynn.

Bold Entry
With the front door open, visitors get a look at the home's bold entry with coral and white stripes on the walls. A switch from traditional nautical blue and white stripes, the colorful wallpaper transforms a space that designer Brian Patrick Flynn says previously was "dark and dingy and it felt like a basement."

Coastal-Inspired Details
Build manager Dylan Eastman found the modern architectural front door with glass that connects the entry to the porch outside. The door was sprayed coral, a color inspired by the life preservers seen on the docks in the waterfront of Portland, Maine.

Play With Color
To play with color and bring the vibrancy of the front entry upstairs, designer Brian Patrick Flynn used the same coral and white striped wallpaper up the stairwell to the second floor, where the bedrooms and studio are located.
