Pacific Palette

Neutral tones of moss, gray, brown, and blue create a relaxing and playful retreat in the HGTV Dream Home 2018 master bedroom. The natural elements balance with the custom painted “Visit Washington” mural that gives the space a vintage Northwestern vibe.

Whimsical Storage Solutions

Whale tail hooks give a nod to the area’s marine life while providing a unique place to hang a favorite sweater or hat.

Effortless Relaxation

The master bedroom’s lounge area is anchored with a grey Midcentury modern sofa that creates a space to relax with a book or simply enjoy the panoramic views. The woven-rattan coffee table features a place for a drink and creates an easy flow in the seating area. Ferns and potted plants add greenery while cool-toned pillows add texture and keep things cozy.

Millennial Pink Goes Coastal

The combination of the elegant bed, curated art and lovely seating area makes the HGTV Dream Home 2018 terrace bedroom both attractive and functional. An elegant platform bed upholstered in rich navy velvet anchors this bedroom with walls painted a very faint shade of millennial pink. The room combines interesting textures, coastal-inspired art and industrial elements that fit the locale.

Seating Space

The octopus art and framed prints are located behind the bedroom seating area that offers a casual spot for reading and relaxing.

TV Time

A curated collection of playful wall art surrounds the bedroom’s TV that sits above a six-drawer dresser, to help disguise the TV and make it look less noticeable when entering the room.

Comfortable and Cozy

This HGTV Dream Home 2018 guest bedroom has an instant calming effect. This inviting space has a classic panel bed with plush bedding that complements the soft and sophisticated lavender walls.

Modern Bookcase

A steel hitch bookcase with white shelves has minimalist modern style, with open shelves and a handy desk.

Whimsical Walls

Above the dresser framed floral art and a decorative wall figurine add interest to the wall. The bedroom’s linen covered walls were color matched to the paint used for the room’s trim and ceiling.

Livable Coastal Modern Style

Located on the first floor, this welcoming guest bedroom from HGTV Dream Home 2018 offers quiet comfort away from the rest of the home. With a more masculine feel than other rooms in the home, this well-appointed space reflects the home’s livable coastal modern look and feel.

A Touch of Shine

The serpentine dresser with coastal style and bit of feminine feel features an attractive glossy lacquer finish that adds a dose of color and shine to the bedroom.

Perfectly Curated Gallery Wall

Framed whale silhouette art, pencil sketch raccoon art and black and white abstract bubbles art are part of a gallery wall that adds personality to this bedroom.

You Are Getting Very, Very Cozy

A color palette that combines a rich shade of navy blue with pure white accents and smart space planning makes the HGTV Dream Home 2017 master bedroom the ideal space for resting and relaxing.

Relaxed Seating Area

The master bedroom's inviting seating area with armless loveseat and two rattan lounge chairs under a bay window provides a spot to read and relax, and enjoy the stunning views of the backyard.

Layers of Blue

A polished-nickel table lamp with blue shade that adds another layer of the coastal hue to the space provides illumination on the sideboard under the master bedroom's flat-screen TV.

Located just off the home gym, the HGTV Dream Home 2017 terrace suite bedroom gets incredible light and has floor-to-ceiling, high-gloss white shiplap walls that fit the home's coastal flavor. A bright coral upholstered low-slung platform bed with curved headboard and sleek frame adds a pop of color to the space.

Bohemian Style

The home office area on one side of the platform bed has mismatched style, with a midcentury desk paired with an elegant traditional French armchair.

The Perfect Reading Spot

Book towers filled with vintage books in really bright hues add personality and layers of color to this light-filled space, paired with a huge graphic metal wall clock with white finish and a funky, fuzzy chair to create a reading spot with personality.

Mad for Plaid

The scholarly HGTV Dream Home 2017 guest bedroom offers a pared back modern take on preppy style, with walls wrapped floor-to-ceiling with a cream, tan and black plaid wallpaper mixed with bronze and brass accents and traditional rich hues like forest green and deep red.

Smart Storage

An oversized sideboard with a mirrored front that could be used in a dining room was cleverly integrated into the design of the guest bedroom, to provide storage in an unexpected way. The sideboard is topped with assorted accessories and two bronzed steel table lamps with drum shades.

Yes, That's a Swing

HGTV Dream Home 2016 pulled out all the stops — the breezy terrace bedroom is all about comfort. Unlike a themed room, the terrace suite bedroom exemplifies a curated look. The contents look like they were collected by the homeowner over the years but tie together perfectly. Step outside the sliding doors for grand views of the Indian River.

Majestic Teal

The majestic teal for HGTV Dream Home 2016's master bedroom walls was also used for the ceiling, which helps give the well-detailed space a cozy feel.

All About Symmetry

To make the amazing views from the 2016 master suite the star of the show, the design team played with symmetry to give the space personality.

Private Sanctuary

The covered balcony off the master suite creates a private sanctuary, an extension of the bedroom designed to take advantage of the beautiful water views.

Comfort and Style

The comfortable and stylish HGTV Dream Home 2016 guest bedroom with terra-cotta walls and ceiling includes coral accents and subtle shore-inspired elements like driftwood garland for a chic coastal look.

A Nod to Cape Cod

Designed to be as tranquil and breezy as the 2015 home’s Martha’s Vineyard location, the master bedroom features soft blues and neutrals combined with cushy furniture for instant relaxation.

Personal Patio

The 2015 master bedroom also features a patio surrounded by shrubs planted to create a living privacy fence.

Let's Get Nautical

Polished yet fun, the 2015 guest bedroom displays a classic nautical theme with a modern twist. The anchor was a rescue interior designer Linda Woodrum found on the island. "It was an old piece that was signage for something and we just bought it impulsively," she says.

Color Play

“Designing this bedroom was a mix of bringing hot, bright colors together to make this room really pop," says designer Linda Woodrum. And that they do—the 2015 kids' bedroom is bursting with shades of pink, teal and lime, grounded by a sisal rug. The team took advantage of the space's massive, vaulted ceilings, painting vertical stripes in two shades of pink.

The HGTV Dream Home 2014 master bedroom borrows its color palette from the rich fall colors of its Lake Tahoe location. It combines rustic, masculine details with bold colors and graphic patterns to create a warm, inviting space.

Time to Relax

In the 2014 home, guests are treated to a cozy, colorful retreat with designer details, including the bright orange four poster bed. An oversized clock and a desk used as a bedside table complete the look.

The Real Showstopper

The bunkroom in the 2014 home was designed with kids and kids-at-heart in mind. Soaring ceilings keep the space open and airy while the red-and-white palette is playful yet refined.

Behind the Scenes

Storage in the bunkroom comes in the form of a small walk-in closet and a vintage-style travel trunk.

Kiawah Island Dreamin'

This bright coastal twin suite pays homage to the 2013 HGTV Dream Home's Kiawah Island location. Turquoise, lime green and white create a vibrant color combo that still looks super-sophisticated.

Coastal Chic

Vintage-style matelassé coverlets and a traditional four-post bed feel modern with a lively color scheme and chic glass lamp. HGTV Dream Home designer Linda Woodrum originally designed the colorful space as a little girl's room, but the room can easily double as a classy guest suite simply by switching out decorative accents.

Sophisticated Simplicity

Calm and serene, the HGTV Dream Home 2013 guest room hosts a soft sea of neutrals with bold indigo pieces. Cozy bedding outfitted in paisley, lattice and stripes breaks up the soft gray and crisp white. Floor-to-ceiling drapes make the space feel taller.

Slumber Party Nook

The 2013 HGTV Dream Home also features a nook at the top of the staircase with custom poplar wood bunk beds, handcrafted by carpenter David Brown. A curtain rail embedded in the ceiling allows the area to be closed off – perfect for telling late-night scary stories in the dark at sleepovers!

A Walk on the Beach

With a soft palette of neutrals that includes splashes of cool tidal blue, the 2013 HGTV Dream Home master bedroom draws inspiration from Kiawah Island's sandy beaches. A canopy bed with Parson-style posters serves as a stunning focal point while a private deck provides picturesque views of the island's tidal marsh.

A Slice of Americana

This quaint 2012 HGTV Dream Home guest room celebrates America and the Old West with patriotic reds and blues mixed with iconic patterns. Gingham carpet, ticking-stripe curtains, a houndstooth loveseat and paisley bedding are all tied together by a deep blue. Red throw pillows and a barn-red Shaker-style pencil post bed balance the blues without taking away from the American flag wall art.

Nature-Inspired Naptime

The 2012 HGTV Dream Home, situated just outside Park City, Utah, is a modern take on a rustic ranch. The master bedroom amps up the elegance with rich, nature-inspired colors, luxurious velvet and brocade bedding and a gilded European-style chandelier. Drapery placed in a niche behind the bed enhances the headboard and creates a cozy nook.

All About Balance

Symmetry makes this 2012 HGTV Dream Home guest bedroom feel peaceful and harmonious. Flowers and other natural elements draw from the home's riverfront location while layers of cozy linen add depth to the space. Antique-style details and soft blues stir memories of a bed-and-breakfast.

At-Home Ski Resort

The 2011 HGTV Dream Home, located in the snowy mountains of Stowe, Vt., is only a stone's throw from local ski attractions. Designer Linda Woodrum decided to go all out for the ski dorm, converting the space into a luxury at-home resort. A framed ski poster, white cedar logs and a pine ceiling add rustic quality without feeling too lodge-y. Eight beds dressed in quilted covers and fun throw pillows ensure there's room for the whole family.

Stony Retreat

A stone fire pit just outside the window provides inspiration for the 2012 HGTV Dream Home guest bedroom, giving it a completely different feel than the colorful ski dorm upstairs. Cool metals add shine to the muted colors and give the space an industrial feel that is balanced by contemporary furnishing and soft Italian linens.

Embedded in Style

Classy menswear fabrics dress up the 2011 HGTV Dream Home master bedroom. Cranberry-red walls give a bold color boost to an otherwise neutral palette while vintage poplar and walnut doors repurposed as pocket doors keep in line with the home's rustic charm.

Doggie Dream Home

The master bedroom also houses a miniature replica of none other than the 2011 HGTV Dream Home itself with room for two lucky pups, featuring padding upholstered in houndstooth fabric.

A Dramatic Entrance

Seventeen-foot-long curtains in a menswear fabric create a sky-high entrance for the master bathroom.

Bedroom Oasis

The 2010 HGTV Dream Home, a take on a pueblo in sunny Sandia Park, N.M., melds Southwestern and modern styles. The master suite features subtle touches of desert-inspired decor, fine-art photographs sourced from Madrid, N.M. and sage walls – another nod to the home's desert location. Frosted-glass barn doors separate the bedroom and the stunning spa-style bathroom.

How the Southwest Was Won

This vibrant kids' room in the 2010 HGTV Dream Home takes cues from Disney-Pixar's Toy Story. Custom Toy Story artwork signed by Pixar executives give the room an authentic feel while plenty of Western toys – including cowboy hats and a lasso – will have kids saving the Wild West time and time again.

Cozy Casita

No HGTV Dream Home is complete without a beautiful guest room, and the 2010 Dream Home goes above and beyond the call of duty with a detached casita. The bungalow wows with a colorful, sparkling glass mosaic tile covering the entire back wall. A clear glass shower enclosure extends the space, and light wood furnishing keeps the space from feeling too heavy.

Dream in Green

Flowing white drapes and a floor-to-ceiling canopy make the 2009 master bedroom a dream in green. Dark wood provides a rich contrast, and plush white bedding and furnishings soften the vivid green hue.

Retro Kids' Room

Design Star 2 winner Kim Myles abandoned overdone pinks and blues for the kids' bedroom in the HGTV Dream Home 2009, opting for muted reds and blues. Her love of cool cars inspired her to mount a toy police car, shiny chrome wheel covers above each bed, and a chrome diamond plate-print border – an auto supply shop find. A mini bowling set, jacks and other retro toys keep the vintage theme going.

Deep Blue Seas

With an ocean-blue ceiling and walls, this breezy kids' bedroom takes after the 2008 HGTV Dream Home's Florida Keys location. Blue and white stripes in the bedskirt, wicker chairs, flowing canopy and curtains add a playful pattern and break up all the solids. Snapper Pinky Cotton Candy, a painting by local artist Stacie Krupa, gives the space a vivid burst of color.

Waves Goodnight

This coastal master bedroom in the 2008 HGTV Dream Home creates a calm feeling with simple furnishings and a creamy color palette that mimics the ocean waves. A panel of checkered drapery shows off the antique sleigh bed and accentuates the room's high ceiling.

Room With a View

The 2007 HGTV Dream Home master bedroom offers an open sitting area inside and out, providing striking views of the Rocky Mountains. A mix of textures and a simple blend of creams and browns evoke a cozy cabin feel.

Got Wood?

Knotty furniture and faux-wood wall paper turn this bunk room in the 2007 HGTV Dream Home into a playful retreat for guests both young and old. The Winter Park, Colo., home keeps its Craftsman style authentic with handcrafted wooden bunk beds made from tree branches.

Cloud Nine

The upstairs bedroom of the 2006 HGTV Dream Home will make any guest feel as if they're part of the sky. The airy guest bedroom draws inspiration from the gorgeous North Carolina Blue Ridge Mountains right outside. Cornice boards with sheer drapes create a cloudlike feel while colorful art found in an Atlanta folk store add a color splash.

Room for One More

The 2006 HGTV Dream Home bunk room makes clever use of its high ceilings with a fifth bright red bunk tucked right underneath the peaked ceiling. A rolling library ladder provides easy access to the sky-high bed.

Summer Dreaming

Designer Linda Woodrum compared the 2006 HGTV Dream Home master bedroom to being inside a sunflower, and it's no wonder: yellow and brown accents fill this quaint space with a warm golden glow, stirring memories of lazy summer days.

A Home Away From Dream Home

The 2005 Texas HGTV Dream Home features a separate dock house that makes taking a vacation a simple stroll through the yard. This serene bedroom, outfitted in light wood-plank walls and simple furnishings, provides stunning views of the lake, creating the perfect romantic getaway.

Victorian Charm

Nestled in St. Mary's, Ga., the 2004 HGTV Dream Home is a take on a classic Victorian home. The master bedroom exudes French country style with a traditional four-poster rice bed and cushy light blue accents, keeping the space simple yet elegant.
