Home Comfort the Eco-friendly Way

Mitsubishi Electric US Heating & Cooling Division offers consumers whole-home comfort while going easy on the environment.
Our outdoor and indoor units are more energy efficient than traditional HVAC systems and use up to 40 percent less energy than window air-conditioners.
No Duct Leaks
Ductless cooling and heating technology conserves energy that would otherwise be used to compensate for conditioned air leaks from ductwork. According to the U.S. Department of Energy, “duct losses can account for more than 30% of energy consumption for space conditioning.”
By using INVERTER-driven compressors that automatically adjust to space temperature changes, our systems employ the exact cooling and heating needed to condition a space, unlike the full-power ON and OFF cycles typical of central forced air systems.
Multi-Room Control
With multi-room control, you can adjust temperatures in each room of your home. You can conserve the electricity used to condition less used spaces, like spare bedrooms or basements and apply it to more occupied areas, like kitchens and bedrooms. You’ll see the payoff on your energy bill.
With technology that continually monitors a room’s temperature, our systems can make instantaneous temperature adjustments to keep rooms comfortable while running at optimal efficiency.
Heat Recovery
Certain models use heat recovery technology to move warmth from rooms that don’t need it to those that do, saving energy.
Recyclable Parts
M-Series units are made from 83 percent recyclable materials, making them an environmentally friendly choice. We’ve reduced the number of parts in the indoor units as well, which simplifies material separation for recycling once the unit has reached the end of its useable life.
To maintain the health of indoor air quality, select systems use multi-stage allergen filtration. The filters last up to 10 years. Other system parts are even more robust, with a life expectancy of 15 to 20 years. Less gets thrown away and you don’t have to replace your filters as frequently.
Ozone Friendly Refrigerant
Mitsubishi Electric uses eco-friendly R410A refrigerant, which minimizes impact on the ozone layer and transfers heat efficiently. The company promotes sustainability by training dealers on the correct handling and recovery of refrigerants and on the proper installation of our units.
Mitsubishi Electric is a market leader in sustainable practices. It has embraced its parent corporation’s Environmental Vision 2021, which aims to cut carbon dioxide emissions and resource use by 30 percent.
Energy Efficient
Many of the units are ENERGY STAR qualified and eligible for federal or state tax credits, or utility rebates. All the company’s products follow government and industry standards and guidelines set by the EPA, AHRI, UL, ASHRAE, ETL, and ISO.
Award-Winning
ENERGY STAR has given Mitsubishi Electric products its Most Efficient designation two years in a row.
BuildingGreen gave Mitsubishi Electric products one of its Top 10 Product awards in 2012.
U.S. Green Building Council Member
Mitsubishi Electric US Cooling & Heating Division is a corporate member of the U.S. Green Building Council. In 2004, it was the first company to introduce highly efficient Variable Refrigerant Flow technology in the United States.
Mitsubishi Electric provides maximum cooling and heating comfort while conserving energy, proving itself superior to traditional HVAC systems.
