3 Unique DIY Pet Food Organization Ideas to Try

The nice weather outside makes now a great time to catch up on all your home improvement projects. As you spruce up your home, you might want to update your pet food storage too, because nothing ruins aesthetic like a bulky bag of pet food in the corner. DIY Pet Food Crate

If you’re lucky enough to enjoy a walk-in pantry at home, this project will help you get bulky items off the floor once and for all with storage that can easily roll out.

Supplies:

• Standard wooden crate (we found ours at Ikea)
• Spray primer
• Spray paint in choice of color
• Custom adhesive vinyl
• Vinyl cutting machine like a Silhouette Cameo or Cricut
• Four 2” castor wheels with screws
• Power drill

Instructions:

• 1) Start by spraying the crate with primer and let dry.
• 2) Once the primer has dried, spray paint the crate with choice of color and let dry. You may need multiple coats

• 3) Remove the backing off the vinyl stickers. Line them up on the crate and push down to adhere. Peel the top paper off.

• 4) Turn the crate over and attach the wheels. We added small squares of scrap wood in the corners to ensure the screws did not go through the bottom of the crate.

• 5) Fill with Supreme Source pet food and enjoy your newly organized pantry!

DIY Food & Treat Jars

Let’s face it, pet food packaging isn’t something you usually want to display on your kitchen countertop. But pulling the bags out of hiding for every feeding can get tiresome. Simple glass jars can provide the solution. Add a little flair with custom stickers and your pet’s food and treats can now remain proudly on display.

Supplies:

• Wide-mouth glass jars with lids
• Custom adhesive vinyl
• Vinyl cutting machine like a Silhouette Cameo or Cricut

Instructions:

• 1) Remove the backing on the vinyl sticker. Line it up on the jar and push down to adhere. Peel the top paper off. That’s it, you’re done!

DIY Dog Food Can

Storing dog food bags can be tough. They are big and bulky and tend to get in the way. Leaving them in the garage is inconvenient and open bags on the floor can be troublesome for those with children. We created a simple, creative solution to your dog food woes. Check out this DIY Dog Food Can, and never trip over a bulky bag again.

Supplies:

• One small metal ‘ash’ can (we found ours at Home Depot)
• Spray primer
• Spray paint in choice of colors
• Custom adhesive vinyl
• Vinyl cutting machine like a Silhouette Cameo or Cricut

Instructions:

• 1) Spray the can with primer and let dry. On metal objects in particular, primer will help the paint adhere and make the final colors look better.

• 2) Once the primer has dried, spray the can using light, even passes from 6-8” away. Do not spray too heavily or the paint will get drips and run. Let dry.

• 3) Remove the backing on the vinyl sticker. Line it up on the can and push down to adhere. Peel the top paper off.
